SENATE DISTRICT 6
ABOUT DARIN
Darin Smith is a fourth-generation Wyomingite who grew up a hard-nosed kid in Rock Springs and has built his life (with the love of his life, Alicia) in Cheyenne, Wyoming.

Tenacious in his love for Country, Darin has been successful in business, law and as an exec with two national nonprofits.

Out of high school, Darin wrestled at the University of Wyoming. A proud Cowboy, he was an Honorable Mention Academic All-American in both 1994 and 1995.
Early in his career, Darin built a successful investment business that focused on 401k management and saving companies and their employees large amounts of management fees. He and Alicia sold that business in 2005. In turn, their focus shifted to a real estate company they run together.

From 2005 to the present Darin has worked as an executive and consultant with national non-profits including the Family Research Council and the Christian Broadcasting Network to contend for faith, family, and freedom in the U.S. and abroad.
Darin has maintained a successful law practice since passing the Bar in 2000. In that role, he has represented individuals, families, and corporations and has helped many people in Wyoming who couldn’t otherwise afford legal representation. He lives to fight for the underdog and for those “David versus Goliath” moments.
Darin has been active in community service including coaching wrestling and serving as a Cubmaster for a local pack, as a member of Lion’s Club, and as the volunteer children’s pastors with Alicia at their local church. Darin and Alicia have been married for 25 years and have five children who range in age from 11 to 22 years old. One son is currently attending the Naval Academy and another is at West Point.

As a family, the Smiths have enjoyed participating in local youth sports, 4-H, Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, FFA, and the local Children’s Chorus.
